Gifts from the Father of Lights — 5 gentle days

You’re already welcome here—print what helps; skip the rest without guilt.

Same five days as Battle Plans → Gifts from the Father of Lights—not a test, only noticing what the Father has already given. Full verses on paper; open the plan on the device for the same day’s layered lines, prayers, and checkmarks.

Day 1 — Every good gift

James 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Before naming anything in thyself, the porch begins here: every good thing traces back to one unchanging Father of lights.

One step: Read twice slowly. Then jot or whisper one small way thou helpest, createst, or carest that still shows up on tired days—no perfect words, only notice.

Day 2 — Skillful hands for ordinary work

Exodus 31:1-6

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship. And I, behold, I have appointed with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded them:

Even the building of God’s house needed Spirit-filled skill in everyday crafts—not only preaching or leading.

One step: What small work before thee—children, home, listening, mending, cooking, or creating—feels a little lighter? Notice it quietly before the Lord.

Day 3 — Gifts differing according to grace

Romans 12:6-8

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given unto us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

The same grace gives different gifts so the whole body may be built up—none is greater, none is lesser.

One step: Read the list slowly. Which line feels familiar—something others have thanked thee for, or a strength thou usest without much thought? Let it stay a gentle observation.

Day 4 — Diversities of gifts, same Spirit

1 Corinthians 12:4-11

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

All gifts—wisdom, helps, faith, mercy, and more—flow from one Source for the good of all.

One step: One way the Lord seems to comfort or help another through thee? Rest here without comparison.

Day 5 — Stewards of manifold grace

1 Peter 4:10-11

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

A steward keeps nothing clenched—received gifts are meant to move through thee toward another’s good.

One step: Name one person or place (family table, friend, church hall, unseen errand) where thou couldst minister today without announcing it. Then add thy own sentence to Him in quiet.

There is no score here. Only thanks to the Father of lights for what He has already given thee.

Family note: Even a child brings loaves and fishes Jesus blesses (John 6:9–11). Ask little ones, “What do you enjoy doing that helps our family or makes someone smile?” Write answers in My Study or on paper if it blesses thee—no pressure, only joy.
