Gentle Journey—when the night feels bigger than you.
When the night feels bigger than you
A hush read for little hearts and tired grown-ups—pairs with When Little Hearts Feel Big Fear.
Read-aloud
Sometimes the dark feels tall. Sometimes worry whispers that you are alone. God spoke through Isaiah words that still fit at the table tonight:
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
You do not have to be strong first. God is already with you. Little ones can hear that. Grown-ups need to hear it too.
Gentle question
What is one thing making the night feel big—and can we tell God about it together?
Short prayer together
Lord, when we feel afraid, thank You that You are with us. Strengthen us and help us trust You. Amen.
