When the easy wrong choice feels louder than the right one—God’s Word still holds.
When the wrong choice feels loud
A quiet read beside Jesus in the wilderness—not a lecture about being good. Jesus answered temptation with Scripture.
Read-aloud
Sometimes the wrong thing sounds easy—extra screen time, sharp words, a shortcut that feels good for a minute. Jesus was hungry and tired in the desert, and the tempter spoke too. He did not argue with His feelings. He answered with God’s Word. You do not have to win every battle alone tonight.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 (KJV)
That is not shame. It is rest: one true sentence from God can be louder than the wrong voice.
Gentle question
What is one true thing from God we can remember when the wrong choice feels loud?
Short prayer together
Lord, help us listen to Your Word when other voices feel loud. We trust You with our choices. Amen.
