Contentment in Small Seasons (one page)

You’re already welcome here—print what helps; skip the rest without guilt.

Same six days as Battle Plans—when ordinary tables need a quieter word than headlines. One verse per block; open the plan on the device for today’s step and prayer.

Day 1 — Sufficient unto the day

Matthew 6:34

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Today carries enough; borrow less from sunrise.

Day 2 — Content in every state

Philippians 4:11–13

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Learned at His feet thin or noisy.

Day 3 — Gift in ordinary labor

Ecclesiastes 3:12–13

I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

Bread earned, modest table named gift.

Day 4 — Day of small things

Zechariah 4:10

For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

Plummet moves; unseen faithfulness counts.

Day 5 — Quieted like a weaned child

Psalm 131:1–2

Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

Stilled arms, not cynical.

Day 6 — Such things as ye have

Hebrews 13:5–6

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Enough tethered to nearness, not stuff.
