When Thanksgiving feels lonely or hard (one page)

You’re already welcome here—print what helps; skip the rest without guilt.

For the year the table is thin, loud, or far from home—five short lines, not a mood to fake. The table reads for the widow’s mite (Luke 21:1–4) and rejoice, pray, give thanks (1 Thess. 5:16–18) on Family rhythm walk beside this sheet, not as a program. This page is only the verses.

He will take you up

Psalm 27:10

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

Empty chairs and strained rooms get named here—and who still holds.

Near the broken in heart

Psalm 34:18

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Contrite is not “fixed”—it is honest, and He is close.

Thanksgiving with your requests

Philippians 4:6–7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Thanks sits beside the ask, not in place of truth-telling to Him.

Never leave nor forsake

Hebrews 13:5

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Content and held—the promise lands on the last line.

Blessed are they that mourn

Matthew 5:4

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

A beatitude for the table when gratitude feels out of reach.
