When the days grow short (one page)
You’re already welcome here—print what helps; skip the rest without guilt.
For late November and the weeks before the noise rises—five anchor lines for ordinary rooms, not a decorated ideal. Pair with Late fall, quiet winter or Advent quiet on this device; Family rhythm → leper, daily bread when the table has time to read. This sheet is only the verses.
Mercies for morning
Lamentations 3:22–23
It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
The dark does not get the last line—His compassions do not clock out with the sun.
Number the days in wisdom
Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Short light can still be counted honestly—one day, one honest breath.
Comfort, comfort
Isaiah 40:1
Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
Before the to-do list, this sentence—twice—for tired chairs.
Light the darkness cannot name
John 1:5
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
You do not have to feel bright; the line stands whether the room feels dim.
A lamp to the next step
Psalm 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
You only need the next step lit—not the whole winter road.
