Year-end rest (one page)

You’re already welcome here—print what helps; skip the rest without guilt.

For the last nights of December and the stroke of a new year—five steady lines when the house is loud or still. Pair with Advent quiet, Gentle New Year reset, or Start the year in the Word on this device; Family rhythm → December manger when the table has time to read. A different five-verse set for the same season: as the year ends (one page) (numbered days, strength, Christ the same). After the year turns, the five-verse companion is quiet New Year reset (one page)—same lines as the reset plan. This sheet is only the verses.

Sleep in peace

Psalm 4:8

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

The year does not have to be tied up before your head hits the pillow—only handed to Him again.

Rest for the soul

Matthew 11:28–30

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Not a busier January—one gentler yoke, one truer Teacher.

Kept in perfect peace

Isaiah 26:3

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

A stayed mind is allowed to be a quiet one—not a solved one.

Peace of God, not performance

Philippians 4:6–7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Requests first; peace follows—even when the list still looks long on paper.

Casting every care

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

One honest unload before the ball drops—or before you fall asleep in your own chair.
