When winter lingers (one page)

You’re already welcome here—print what helps; skip the rest without guilt.

For February and the weeks that still feel cold when the calendar says spring is coming—five steady lines, not a mood you have to fake. Pair with Late fall, quiet winter on this device; the Shepherd read (John 10:1–18) when the table has time. When the days grow short fits earlier dusk; quiet New Year reset if January’s turn still needs paper. This sheet is only the verses.

Good to them that wait

Lamentations 3:25–26

The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

Lingering winter is not a sign He forgot—waiting is still named “good” here.

They that wait upon the Lord

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Some weeks you walk, not run—and that is still the promise for those who wait on Him.

Be of good courage; wait

Psalm 27:14

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

The command is honest: “wait” said twice—for the long-light heart, not a sprint.

I will look unto the Lord

Micah 7:7

Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

When the sky stays gray, looking still counts—and being heard is already named.

Wait only upon God

Psalm 62:5–6

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

“Only” is the whole counsel for a shaky day—one true Rock, not a feeling.
