Nearness is the first gift—not a speech about getting over it.

Binding takes time. Wounds are named as wounds.
When it hits hardest
- When the pain is still here at 3 a.m.—Psalm 34:18 says the LORD is nigh unto the broken heart, not waiting for morning.
- When people want a lesson from your hurt—Romans 8:18 compares present sufferings with glory later; it does not make the now small.
- When you have no words left—Isaiah 53:4 says He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.
