When You Feel Overwhelmed
You’re already welcome here. Rest first; then let one verse land.
Heavy moment first
Too much at once? Start here.
One verse, one breath—before you try to carry the whole list.
Cast your burden on the Lord. He will sustain you. One day at a time.
When you want a slow lane: University of Overwhelm (twenty-one days, KJV) sits with “too much at once” weeks, or browse all Battle Plans—optional.
New here? This page meets one hard moment with KJV verses. See the full map — hard moment, daily rhythm, family, or church.
Key Verses
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Heavy laden is the entry requirement—not having it together first.
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Cast means transfer, not organize better.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
When the to-do list and the worry list are the same list.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Sometimes the win is walking without fainting—not soaring.
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Stillness is a step, not a luxury you earn after finishing everything.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Weariness in good work is named honestly here.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
When you cannot add one more thing, grace meets you in the cannot.
When it hits hardest
- When everything is due at once—Matthew 11:28 before you re-sort the list for the fifth time.
- Caregiving plus work plus home—Psalm 55:22 for the weight that has no neat category.
- After a meltdown (yours or a child’s)—Psalm 46:10 for sixty seconds of stillness, then one small next thing.
A Gentle Word
Matthew 11:28. Come. Heavy laden. Rest. He will sustain you.
